Iceberg is led by Jeff Benveniste and Michael Bentley. Our core team is totally focused on the highest levels of professionalism and user-friendly support in delivering a top-quality service to our clients. The core team (details below) is supplemented on a project-by-project basis by highly-qualified and experienced consultants and trainers drawn from the combined resources of our parent companies, Maximum Performance and The In-House Training Company. For projects with an international dimension, we also work with a network of strategic business partners (listed below).
Jeff BenvenisteJeff Benveniste qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1993 but soon moved from core accounting into a people development role with Coopers, first in the UK and then in the New South Africa, where he headed up the firm's National Training Function. The work in the New South Africa gave him invaluable experience of developing people in an extremely challenging and demanding environment.
On his return to the UK in 1997 he founded Maximum Performance, to work with leaders and their people to improve the performance of individuals, teams and organisations. Growing at over 30% year on year, they are one of the country's foremost management and leadership development consultancies with a strong track record and an enviable client base. Jeff's experience with Maximum Performance has led him to evaluate and use numerous different tools and instruments in hundreds of management programmes over the last ten years and it is his enthusiasm for the ViewSuite360° and Facet5 tools that has led him to set up the specialised assessment and profiling tools business – Iceberg.
Michael Bentley read law at the London School of Economics, a qualification he put to good use in his first career in legal publishing, conferences and training. After 25 years of corporate life, and inspired by working with numerous consultants over that time (including Jeff Benveniste), he left his role as Managing Director of Hawksmere to start up his own business, The In-House Training Company, which provides top-quality training in a wide range of subjects to organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors throughout the UK.
Philippa MortonPhilippa Morton is our lead consultant in the use of the 360° and Facet5 tools, working with a broad base of clients. Philippa's background in psychology provides a strong foundation in adult learning, development and behaviour which is coupled with a passion for supporting individuals to reach their performance potential.
A graduate member of the CIPD and with a diploma in Training and Development, Philippa's enthusiasm and energy for people and the experience gained in her five years at Unilever as Learning Manager result in a very pragmatic, business-oriented approach with an emphasis on practical tangible results. Her strength in creativity and innovation is also clearly evident throughout her design and delivery style.
Her particular areas of interests are personal development, self–awareness, coaching and effective working relationships. She is currently studying to be an NLP practitioner and is, of course, fully qualified in the use of Facet5 and the suite of 360° assessment tools.
Joanne EvansJoanne Evans has an HR background gained from working in large multinational organisations, including Hewlett Packard. She is the organisational strength behind Iceberg. Her main focus is on supporting clients in their 360° and Facet5 activities, running the projects and managing the service bureau.
Iceberg can deliver projects on an international basis, using a network of strategic business partners around the world, all of whom have consultant and support personnel who are highly experienced, and appropriately qualified, in the use of the same profiling and assessment tools that Iceberg provide to clients in the UK.
