This section of the Facet5 report specifies where a person’s strengths will lie and identifies key areas for discussion at interview. You can structure the interview either as a ‘Behavioural interview’ where you are looking for real-life examples under each of the competencies or as a ‘Situational interview’ where you pose a hypothetical situation and ask the candidate to outline how it would be handled. Guidance on interview questions is given in the Facet5 User Manual.
‘Searchlight’ highlights six different competencies:
- Leadership
- Interpersonal
- Initiative and effort
- Communication
- Analysis and decision-making
- Planning and organising
… and shows what to expect and what to watch for on the basis of the candidate’s ‘Searchlight’ report.
By conducting a carefully structured interview based on this information selection processes can be more effective and decisions can be based on accurate information
